Jorge Siddhartha Gonzalez

Jorge Siddhartha Gonzalez Ibarra (Guadalajara, Jalisco), better known as Siddhartha, is a soloist rock musician based in Mexico. Siddhartha began his solo career after being the former drummer of Zoé. He has recorded three albums: Why You?, Náufrago (Castaway) and El Vuelo Del Pez (Flight of fish).

Siddhartha became one of the most promising artists in Mexico´s music scene just after releasing his first album (Why You? ), in a casual and independent way (2008). His debut album was considered one of the best works of the country.

* Winner at the Indie-o Music Awards for the category of Best Solo Artist Album.
* Nominated for the Best Rock Solo Vocal Album Latin Grammy.
